Thanksgiving 2010: A Pre-Emptive Strike on a Consumerist Christmas

Consumption is a primary characteristic of our culture, and the annual season from Thanksgiving to December 25 is microcosm of it’s impact on who we are.  But what if this season could be different?  What if this Christmas season could be marked by contentment?  What if we began to learn to find our value apart from possessions?  What if this is the holiday season where we stepped out of the rat race of “keeping up?”
